When I tell you I am SO excited about this ship setting sail, man, oh man, do I mean it! The Disney Destiny opened for bookings this past week, and the itineraries they have so far are absolutely incredible. (I have my sights set on the inaugural sailing Thanksgiving week 2025!)
Meet The Disney Destiny – The Newest Ship To Join The DCL Fleet!
This ship is an absolute dream, but as a boy mom / Marvel fanatic, it has me exceptionally excited. This ship is going to. feature Disney icons, Pixar and Marvel heroes and villains in amazing ways! ((Looking at you Haunted Mansion themed lounge!))
As with all things travel, especially Disney, booking early has its advantages. While booking for late 2025 / early 2026 may seem lightyears away, I promise in the travel world it really isn’t.
Booking early is going to give you a prime selection of itineraries, staterooms, and pricing. In addition, the further out you book, the more time you have to make payments! Disney Cruise Line requires a deposit (typically 20%) upfront to book, but then your balance is not due until 120 days before your sail date, meaning you have tons of time to make payments on it!
So. Let’s Dive Into Some Fun Details About Her!
Where is she sailing?
Current itineraries include destinations in the Bahamas and Western Caribbean. A few that I really have my eyes set on are sailings that visit both of Disney’s private islands, Castaway Cay and Disney Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point, as well as sailings that visit Nassau Bahamas!
Stateroom Options:
The destiny will feature Inside, Oceanview, Verandah and Concierge staterooms. However, if you are looking for a real upscale and luxe feel – there are royal & tower suites!
Dining Rooms
Seasoned Disney cruisers may be familiar with Worlds of Marvel and 1923 if they have sailed aboard the Wish, but the Destiny is bringing us Pride Lands: Feast of The Lion King – which will be a first of its kind musical experience!
You will also be able to experience Marceline Market and Mickey & Friends Festival of Foods for grab & go casual dining! (Unlimited ice cream cones anyone?!)
Entertainment
Live shows are absolutely incredible with Disney Cruise Line and the Destiny will feature Frozen, A Musical Spectacular, Disney Seas the Adventure, and Disney Hercules!!!
Family Fun & Kids Clubs
AquaMouse is joining the Destiny which is an incredible water coaster that you’ll have an impossible time getting your kids off of!
We will also see the kids clubs that feature Fairytale Hall, Marvel Superhero Academy, Star Wars: Cargo Bay, and for the older kids Edge & Vibe! (Just to name a few!)
